Training horses is a task with tremendous responsibility that I have put my heart and soul  into over the years. 
Remember….. well trained horses are happy horses as they are not confused about what is being asked of them! Sometimes it does not take much to make a big difference in the horse’s behaviour when the principles of CONSISTENCY, TIMING and RELEASE OF PRESSURE are practiced properly.

Training and building a Western Performance horse from start to finish is definitely my greatest passion. Every horse comes with different personality traits and athletic ability, which keeps me on my toes as a trainer and forces me to keep my mind open and to never stop  learning ! 

With a background in dressage my program is well structured with focus on longevity, confidence and proper athletic development.  I build my program with the classic training scale in mind, working hard on building mentally and physically sound athletes for years to come. 
While I dabble in a variety of disciplines, I am definitely most invested into the sport of Reining. Anyone who has ever  shown a Reiner can confirm how addicting the feeling is when your horse will let you willingly guide them through a pattern and execute all maneuvers just the way you have trained and practiced. 

On the other end of the spectrum it is equally exciting for me to watch my students show their horses, I love when I see their hard work and dedication pay off and I’m blessed to be able to work with a great group of people and horses, with successes in the show ring on a provincial and interprovincial level competing at SRHA, NRHA, APHA, SPHC, AQHA and HC events. 
As a coach it is always my goal to  bring out the  best in the horses, as well  as in their riders while respecting  their individual personalities, and to bring them along at their own pace. It is very  important to me that humans and equines step into the practice pen and the show arena with confidence, and always want to come back for more.

Background & Qualifications:

I was born and raised in Germany where I grew up riding English until I switched to Western at the age of 15. I  have lived and trained horses in Canada now for over 15 years, working intensively with several mentors along the way, some of which I spent up to 2 years with in order to improve my skills and gain experience.

I moved to Saskatchewan in 2009 after I graduated with a BSc in Equine Science and Management from the University of Vienna, Austria. In October of 2009 I successfully completed the Equine Canada Western Level 1 coaching  certification program (since the designation has changed to Western Competition Coach), and since 2015 I am SHF certified and available  to judge General Performance and Open shows incl.
