LESSON PROGRAM
We offer individual or group lessons specializing in Reining and other Western Performance Disciplines in a safe and professional environment by Equine Canada registered Western Competition Coach Julia Keil-Quibell. Lessons are based on principles of CONSISTENCY, TIMING and RELEASE OF PRESSURE – keeping equine psychology in mind and utilizing horsemanship strategies. Willing and happy horses are a lot more motivated to get the job done!
The goal is to empower our students to grasp the concept of how horses learn and what tools and techniques to use, in order to attain their goals with a happy and confident equine partner at their side.
We focus on proper equine athletic development, topics such as equine anatomy and locomotion, muscle development, the importance of cadence, rhythm, balance and true collection in order to have our horses ready for the show pen in various Western performance disciplines on a regional and provincial level.
We also emphasize how much rider strength, coordination and fitness (or the lack thereof!!) has a tremendous impact on the horse’s performance.
